Project showcase: Feel Good Coach / Mood DJ
Porsche wanted to put a higher focus on the driver‘s mood and wellbeing while on the road.So my team explored this topic and came up with two solutions that aid the driver to focus on driving and to improve their mood. The Feel Good Coach and the Mood DJ are two smartphone applications that the driver can use while on the road without distraction due to the use of wearable data (eg. Apple Watch) and Voice Check-Ins.The apps were developed with the help of algorithms that enable mood tracking and automatic song selection based on a driver's mental state in real time. My task within these projects was to keep an eye on user experience and usability by creating concept and user journeys, and to optimize the concept so we could create a desirable product in collaboration with a leading neuroscience and AI company.
Challenges
In order to understand the technology behind mood tracking and all it's psychological peculiarities we really had to dive deep into the subject. On top of that we had to create a user interface that is tangible and desirable for the end user.
Tight collaboration with a London based neuroscience and AI startup let us create a truly inspiring and forward leading experience. User testing and user interviews let us collect the insights we needed to push this project into the right direction.
There are also many other projects I worked on during my internship which I can unfortunately not yet share with you, but be sure to check in at a later point in time to explore more projects.
