UI/UX Design Internship
During my 8 month internship at BMW as UI/UX Designer I worked on several different projects. The main focus of my department was Concept Vehicles. It was very interesting to work on these topics from day one and have insight into the complex design process that comes with it.

BMW & Mini Showcars
My main responsibilites included working on different animations in and outside of the car as well as creating different prototypes and user interfaces for the digital UI of the showcars. Moreover, I also worked on different concepts for future series production cars of BMW and MINI.Through this internship I found a lot to take into my professional career - visual design skills as well as technical prototyping skills. The BMW i Vision Circular is a luxury concept vehicle, marrying elegant design and sustainable components in an innovative concept. I worked on several animations on the interior and exterior. The MINI Aceman Concept is a playful and innovative street vehicle. My job was to create concepts and prototypes for several UI screens and dashboard + exterior light projections. For example on the dashboard and center information display as well as the headlights showcasing the car's virtual companion.
Challenges
In both projects many internal stakeholders had to be satisfied while creating a product that speaks for the core brand identity of both BMW and MINI. The goal was to create future proof concepts that lead the way of the brand and my part was to support with UX concepts, animations and prototyping. Especially in the prototyping phase I was testing a lot of different technical and conceptual setups to really reach the brand's target image.
There are also many other projects I worked on during my internship which I can unfortunately not yet share with you, but be sure to check in at a later point in time to explore more of the projects I worked on.
